10 WWE Stars Who Made Bold Claims They Failed To Back Up
9. The Miz Is The Most Must-See WWE Champion In History
The Miz promised us all that he would be the most must-see WWE Champion in history and that he was now on top of the WWE with the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton. That is debatable. As Champion Miz was repeatedly humiliated and belittled by John Cena and other babyfaces. He required help from apprentice Alex Riley (remember him?) to win all his matches, and even needed Michael Coles help to defeat Jerry Lawler. And that was before the Rock showed up and made the WWE Champion look like Heath Slater. Miz was not a main eventer. As for being "must-see"? His character had not changed much since his arrival on Raw two years earlier (his current Hollywood character is his freshest act since then!) and his matches were rarely better than just okay. Even when he turned babyface last year (again, remember that?) he did nothing to change his personality and still came off as a jerk during promos. Miz seems to have found some stability in his midcard feud with Dolph Ziggler. It's a step down from main eventing WrestleMania for sure, but it's a spot he fills quite well.
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
