As such, Lee could return the favor, returning to TNA as a much bigger star than when he left in 2020, and not only tagging alongside his former partners but he could even challenge for some singles championships.
Wes Lee would make for a great contender to any belt, but the one that particularly stands out is the X Division Championship currently held by Mustafa Ali. Wes and Ali never had the opportunity to properly feud when Lee held the NXT North American Championship, with injuries and creative plans putting a halt to that, and other wrestlers were also thrown into the mix to prevent any straight-up singles match between the two.
It could be time to rectify this by having Wes Lee face Mustafa Ali for the X Division Title, rekindling their previous storyline and giving a conclusion to what was seen in NXT.
