10 WWE Stars Undertaker Succeeded In Elevating To The Next Level

10. Jeff Hardy

When Jeff Hardy was given a singles push that led to a confrontation with the Undertaker, many people predicted that €˜Big Evil€™ would mop the floor with him. After all, Undertaker was WWE Champion at the time, was much bigger than Hardy, and was a vicious fighter who didn€™t pull any punches. Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy€™s popularity was growing every week, as the audience had fallen in love with his never-say-die attitude. When these two contrasting forces clashed, it made for one of the most dramatic moments in RAW history. On the July 1st, 2002 episode of RAW, Jeff faced the Undertaker in a ladder match for the WWE Championship. Although Hardy lost, and was pummelled by the Undertaker after the match, he still showed his determination and will to continue. That moment led the Undertaker to raise his hand in a sign of respect, and in that moment, the Undertaker set in motion a series of events that would elevate Hardy to the main event level. Despite leaving WWE for a few years, Hardy returned in 2006 and received a roaring ovation. He was one of WWE€™s most popular wrestlers, and despite his small size, he convinced everyone that he was worthy of the main event. This included an Extreme Rules match on SmackDown against the Undertaker, which Jeff Hardy won clean. If that isn€™t a sign of the Undertaker seeing something big in someone, I don€™t know what is.
