Even though he lost, he was, suddenly, taken far more seriously after his short feud with the Undertaker, and he matured into a different and more impressive performer. If one were to look at his matches after that PPV, they started getting increasingly better over time. He carried himself not just as a skilled amateur wrestler, but also as a confident main-eventer, and he proved that he could work with any kind of opponent. Undertaker and Angle would have many more matches together over the years, and all of them were among the best in both men€™s careers.
