9. Kurt Angle
When Kurt Angle first debuted, there was a lot of hype around how hed perform in WWE. That hype was certainly well-deserved, as Angle became known worldwide as a wrestling machine that put on clinics on a regular basis. However, theres one important match that led to Kurt Angle transforming from talented rising star to certified main-eventer: his match with the Undertaker at Fully Loaded 2000. The match wasnt a particularly impressive affair, lasting only 7-and-a-half minutes and featured the Undertaker winning in dominant fashion. However, something happened in that match that led to a transformation in Kurt Angle. Even though he lost, he was, suddenly, taken far more seriously after his short feud with the Undertaker, and he matured into a different and more impressive performer. If one were to look at his matches after that PPV, they started getting increasingly better over time. He carried himself not just as a skilled amateur wrestler, but also as a confident main-eventer, and he proved that he could work with any kind of opponent. Undertaker and Angle would have many more matches together over the years, and all of them were among the best in both mens careers. Angle benefitted significantly from regular contact with the Undertaker, as he grew in terms of star power, image, and reputation from contact with the Deadman.
