10 WWE Stars Who Wanted (But Failed) To Jump To WCW
4. Triple H
It's intriguing to sit down sometimes and consider the moments that likely did occur that were right under our collective wrestling fan noses during the Attitude Era that we just didn't really consider actually happening. On October 25, 1998, Kevin Nash became WCW's head booker. Of course, as most wrestling fans are aware, Nash and Triple H are close confidants. Thus, the idea that upon getting the book in WCW that Nash would've reached out to Triple H makes sense. Given that Eric Bischoff was less of an influence in the promotion and that Hunter was heading Degeneration X - but solidly behind The Rock, Steve Austin and The Undertaker in the company's pecking order of stars - could have left him not just hungry, but frustrated, too. Frustrated enough to leave for WCW (especially with Nash booking)? Possibly. The idea of Triple H's turn on Degeneration X and massive solo singles push being linked to the WWF attempting to placate a star rightfully considering what could've been a big money offer from the competition is a likely possibility. Of course, had Triple H taken a WCW offer in 1998, where would that leave the wrestling industry today? An amazing thought to consider.
