10 WWE Stars Who Are Unhappy Right Now
3. Luke Harper
Where most of his peers have taken a snide approach when expressing their unhappiness, Harper recently penned a deeply heartfelt, long-form letter tonally at odds with his swamp monster gimmick.
In it, he found himself at a crossroads. Mentioning his age (39), it appears that Harper knows that time is passing him by - in addition to the endless influx of generation upon generation of talent. This letter doubled as an admirable but very optimistic means of promoting his upcoming Axxess match against 'Donovan Dijak'. He presumably meant Donovan Dijakovic, but then again, he will probably go by Donovan Dijak by the time April 4 rolls around.
The subtext was achingly clear, though: Harper missed out on a WrestleMania 33 Triple Threat match more invented than it was considered, and he exists now, following the disbanding of the misfiring Bludgeon Brothers, as yet another forgotten son. It's a shame; Harper, not especially charismatic but preposterously talented as a physical specimen that should not be, has much to offer WWE's tag ranks.
Harper's Twitter handle is equally sad. He goes by 'Luke Harper of WWE', perhaps to remind his fans - and himself - that he is still under contract.
