10 WWE Stars Who Could End Rusev's Reign Of Terror

1. John Cena

No active WWE wrestler needs a win over Rusev less than John Cena. Forget that he was obliterated by Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Cena is, quite frankly, leaps and bounds above Rusev. A victory over him might as well be a win against Heath Slater. It€™ll pop the crowd for five minutes, and then it€™ll immediately be forgotten as Cena continues on his quest to win his 37th world title. However, that is probably the route WWE will end up taking. It€™s almost a sad science: Analyze a situation, deduce and reason out the most nonsensical development, and that€™s what likely will happen. There really is no good reason for Cena to beat Rusev. Any of the others mentioned previously (Cesaro, Ryback, Bryan or even Reigns) would gain far more by handing Rusev his first loss. Cena would have a good match, look beaten, then Rise Above Russia to win. He€™d probably also make poopy jokes and show Photoshopped pictures of Rusev and Lana in €œhilarious€ situations along the way. Make no mistake: If WWE decides to have Cena be the one to end Rusev€™s streak, it will be yet another wasted opportunity for another superstar, and another example of a lack of forward-thinking by the creative team. Here€™s hoping there isn€™t an Attitude Adjustment in Rusev€™s future.
