10 WWE Stars Who Could Replace Shane McMahon As SmackDown Commissioner

2. Vince McMahon

That Vince McMahon promo on SmackDown was awesome, wasn't it?

Chastising Kevin Owens for attempting to sue WWE when he should be willing to fight back, Vince then took quite the ass-kicking from his son's chief rival. This was classic wrestling TV. It's only when McMahon has been gone for a while that we realise just how much he's missed as a regular character.

Perhaps the best idea would be putting Vince himself in the role of Commissioner. There are plot holes aplenty in his occasional appearances as the overseer of WWE anyway, and he would blow everybody else out of the water with his verbal performances. When Vinnie gets going, there are few who can match his charisma on the mic.

Daniel Bryan might struggle to meet Vince halfway as a character, so maybe he could be removed from the General Manager position altogether. With McMahon strutting his stuff on SmackDown, there wouldn't be much need for another authority figure. Vince may be 72, but he's a viable option even in the short term.
