10 WWE Stars Who Could Replace Shane McMahon As SmackDown Commissioner

1. Kevin Owens

Another good shout as a short term Commissioner is none other than Kevin Owens. Yes, the same KO who is about to launch himself head first into Hell In A Cell against Shane McMahon. Wouldn't it be interesting to see WWE turn the story on its head and add a stipulation to the match? If Shane wins, he gets to keep his gig. If Owens wins, then he's the boss.

When Owens first landed on SmackDown as United States Champion, he looked dapper when he pulled on a suit and had a quick shave. The man has presence, there's no debating that, and he's somebody fans have grown to enjoy listening to during promos. Both those attributes lend themselves well to the Commissioner role.

Due to his heelish nature, Owens realistically wouldn't last long as Commish before being ousted from power by someone else. Give him a few months in the hot seat, though, and we can guarantee it'd be entertaining. Seeing Owens go into business for himself and run riot on SmackDown - only to be cut down - feels like a good fit for his character.
