10 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks
5. Happy Corbin
Change is also afoot for Madcap's now-ex partner Happy Corbin.
The "Happy" idea worked as a way to spin out of the 'King' Corbin gimmick last year, but it was never going to be the guy's full-time direction. Now, thanks to a split from Moss, Corbs can start looking at what's next for him on SmackDown. Or, maybe he'll get shunted sideways to Raw.
WWE tends to go for that later strategy when they're a bit stuck, so don't be surprised if it happens. Whether he sticks around on FOX or takes his skills to USA, the same is true: "Happy" needs to go and Corbin needs something different.
His 'Happy Lounge' talk show skits have been a painful reminder of everything that's wrong with WWE's TV formatting anyway, and it's not like his matches have offset that creative malaise. A return to playing royalty is out of the question, so it might be time for plain ol' Baron Corbin to launch a comeback.
Buzzing to hear that sweet theme again.
