10 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks

3. The Viking Raiders

Yes, the 'Viking Experience' is over.

Not over over, but that's WWE's fault. Their booking for Erik and Ivar has been stop/start for too long, and the only creative direction they have in mind for The Raiders' opponents is to call them smelly. It's a bit sh*t, and it's put the Vikings in a right funk.

The pair's run together as War Machine in ROH, New Japan and on the indy scene was fabulous. Things looked promising on NXT too before the writers on Raw and SmackDown got their grubby mitts on the team. Since then, they've been up and down like Pat McAfee behind the commentary desk (literally - the dude gets fidgety!).

It could be time to try something radically different. Leaving behind their Assassin's Creed: Valhalla routine may be the only way to find out if WWE struggle with the raiding idea or if they don't have a clue how to book Erik and Ivar generally.
