10 WWE Stars Who Will Have A Strong Second Half To 2017

6. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin had "star" written all over him as soon as he debuted in WWE at WrestleMania 32, when he won the third annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. It just took him some time to find his footing as a character, but once he did, the wheels started to turn and he began building credibility.

While he was unsuccessful in his pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship earlier this year, he won a prize much more valuable: the Money in the Bank briefcase. In the main event of the June pay-per-view, he outlasted six of SmackDown Live's greatest superstars, and is now virtually guaranteed to become WWE champion eventually.

That said, Corbin needs some more seasoning before he cashes in successfully, so feuding with stars such as Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, John Cena, and Randy Orton will do him a world of good. He'll suffer a few losses here and there, but as long as he maintains momentum in the long-haul, he will clinch the WWE Championship in a matter of months.

The Lone Wolf would be much more compelling as the blue brand's lead heel than Jinder Mahal has been so far, that much is for certain.
