I'm interested to see how we view Sting's WWE 'career' when all the dust has settled and time has passed. Even at this point most would be in agreement that the whole thing was horribly messed up by WWE, with the Icon losing his debut match against Triple H at WrestleMania 31 after far too much nostalgia.

His second match on WWE PPV was against none other than Seth Rollins, and was actually for the WWE Championship. Yes, despite never actually winning a singles match in the company Sting somehow got himself a world title shot, against a champion backed by the faction in charge of the whole show.

It still doesn't really make sense, but there we go. The match would end up being the last of Sting's illustrious career.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
