He might be one of the coldest superstars on the main roster today, but when Sheamus made his way on to the main roster way back in 2009 he was pegged as one of the guys who would lead the company into the future.

Within a few short months of being on the main roster the Celtic Warrior was WWE Champion, defeating John Cena in his second PPV match at TLC 2009.

Not only that but it was also Sheamus' first singles match on WWE PPV. His pay-per-view debut had come a month earlier at the Survivor Series, where found himself on Team Miz in a traditional elimination match.

That match was supposed to be something of a harbinger of things to come, as Sheamus survived alongside fellow new generation stars The Miz and Drew McIntyre.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
