You know, the more I work through this list, the better I remember SmackDown being.

The Rated-R Superstar was another integral part of SmackDown throughout the 2000s, whether as a member of the SmackDown Six or later on as a World Champion aligned with Vickie Guerrero. Edge was emblematic of SmackDown, a top level superstar who wasn't afraid to bring his working boots to the show.

Edge wrestled 223 times on SmackDown before retiring, his first match coming alongside his 'brother' in the aforementioned seven-team elimination tag won by Hardcore and Crash Holly. He would come a long way before his final match on the show in 2011, when as World Heavyweight Champion he would defeat Drew McIntyre just before WrestleMania XXVII.

He retired a few weeks later.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
