10 WWE Stars You Won't Believe Never Headlined WrestleMania

6. Booker T

WWE.comWWE.comOne of the most decorated wrestlers of all time, Booker T made his name in WCW where he was a multi-time World, TV, U.S and Tag Team champion (with his brother Stevie Ray in Harlem Heat.) He was also the reigning US and World Heavyweight champion when Vince bought WCW in March 2001, winning the title from Scott Steiner in the last ever episode of Nitro. From the Alliance storyline onwards, Booker was featured in many main events against the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and former WCW running mate Chris Jericho. Even with multiple world titles and notable feuds as both a face and a heel, the main event of Wrestlemania still eluded him. It would be easy to cite the oft-mentioned racism excuse but Booker's sheer talent would have overcome any racism, as his glittering career will attest to. However, it would not have overcome Vince's dislike of anything to do with WCW. It's a well known fact that Vince McMahon doesn't like using too much of anything WCW related in current WWE programming and it's a testament to Booker's talent that he achieved what he achieved in WWE. When you consider many of the other WCW performers Vince left by the wayside, Booker had several great runs and has stayed on with the company in regular featured commentary and panelist roles since his retirement from active competition. Still, it managed to keep him off that Wrestlemania top spot.
