10 WWE Superstar Careers Completely F****d By Injuries

5. Mr. Kennedy

Ken Kennedy was one of the fastest rising stars in the WWE when he debuted in late 2005. His charisma was undeniable and he had a great gimmick where he would use one of the old-fashioned microphones and give himself a Michael Buffer-like introduction. Immediately, his momentum was halted when he suffered a latissimus dorsi tear in December, putting him out of action for half a year. When he returned in June 2006, he won the United States Championship and was then put in a feud with The Undertaker. At that point, he won matches over former World Champions like Batista, The Undertaker, Kane, and Chris Benoit, a point JBL made over and over again on commentary to put Kennedy over. It seemed that Kennedy€™s momentum was back, culminating in him winning the third Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania 23. The very next night, Kennedy claimed he would cash in the briefcase at Wrestlemania 24. He€™d never get that far, as he tore his right triceps muscle off the bone and was out for a few months. They hotshotted the Money in the Bank briefcase to Edge. Kennedy returned a couple months later, being drafted to Raw before being drafted back to Smackdown in 2008, where he immediately dislocated his shoulder in August. Kennedy went back to Raw in the 2009 draft, and returned in May before injuring his hand and being released the next day. Had Kennedy not been injured in 2007, he might have been given a rocket push and been one of the top WWE stars for some time. Instead, because of the injuries, he ended up where all the up-and-coming WWE careers go to die, TNA.
