Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins made his debut in Ring of Honor in 2007 as part of the Age of the Fall stable. Current WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs was the leader of the group and they made an instant impact, attacking The Briscoe Brothers and going so far as to hang Jay Briscoe from the venue rigging.

As part of the faction Rollins, then known as Tyler Black, established himself as a truly exciting young prospect, helped no end by the psychological prowess of the much underrated Jacobs. The Age of the Fall would win tag team gold just a few months after coming together. Black continued to progress at an alarming rate, coming up short on a number of occasions in number one contender matches.

The run wouldn't last forever however, and Jacobs eventually turned on Black leading to a steel cage match between the two at Violent Tendencies in 2009. Six months later he was Ring of Honor World Champion.
