10 WWE Superstars Badly In Need Of A Character Reboot

9. Damien Sandow

Boy, did WWE really miss their opportunity with Damien Sandow last year or what? From the ending of Damien Mizdow to Macho Mizdow, 2015 was a forgetful year for Damien. During his 2014 partnership with The Miz as his "stunt double", Damien Sandow became Damien Mizdow and his shadow-style mirroring of Miz's actions created a connection with the fans that was as hot as anything on WWE television. It was so popular with the crowd that the company chose to do the big break-up angle at WrestleMania 31 (technically on the pre-show) during last year's Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Whereas Miz or Damien could've used the battle royal win as a catapult to a more serious level of competition as well as another layer to their feud, Big Show was the victor and he went on to do...absolutely nothing with the win. A couple of weeks later and the whole Miz/Mizdow angle ended in a very underwhelming manner with WWE seemingly wanting to quickly move on from the angle, and perhaps from Sandow as well. At the Royal Rumble earlier this year, Damien Sandow re-appeared as his original "Intellectual Savior of the Masses" gimmick but that isn't the answer. Recently, Sandow was given some personal time off, but upon his return, WWE Creative needs to take a page out of Sandow's book and deliver a strong effort. In what is becoming more and more consistent and also extremely telling, the real-life stories of WWE's superstars are often more interesting and entertaining than the fictitious characters that the company creates. Perhaps, this is the route that should be taken in attempt to revitalize his career as a complete reboot of his character is needed, and the company might consider taking a peek into the real-life of Aaron Haddad.
