10 WWE Superstars Who Need To Go Back To Developmental

1. Kofi Kingston

On the surface, Kofi Kingston seems to be one of the last people to need a trip to developmental. He€™s a former four-time Intercontinental Champion, three-time United States Champion and three-time Tag Team Champion. He€™s feuded with some of the biggest stars in the company, and had star-making in turns at loads of pay-per-views, but he€™s been in the same spot for years and shows no signs of that changing any time soon. Kofi Kingston is an accomplished wrestler, there€™s no doubt about it, but he€™s never really had a character. Just like Tyson Kidd before him, skill isn€™t everything, and stint in NXT could do him the world of good. He€™s been a babyface for his entire WWE run, and while they teased a heel turn earlier this year when he aligned himself with Big E and Xavier Woods, that stable fizzled out after a couple of weeks. Kofi Kingston in NXT sounds like a demotion, but it doesn€™t have to be permanent. Cesaro went down to NXT a bunch last year and earlier this year, and it never felt like he was punching down. Kofi in developmental could prove beneficial not only for him, but for wrestlers like Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn who have styles that would match up beautifully with Kingston, and all parties would come out having learnt something.
