Barrett was in the midst of the biggest push in his career when he injured his shoulder in a match against Jack Swagger a few days before Money In The Bank. It's not the first time the brawler from Preston has been scuppered by an injury. He was seemingly destined for big things in 2012 but a dislocated shoulder put him out of action. His return then was pretty unspectacular, but December 2013 saw the birth of Bad News Barrett. He was becoming a leading edgy heel, the pop he received the Raw after WrestleMania XXX testifies that. Barrett also won the Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules in May but was forced to relinquish the title after separating his shoulder following a heavy hit against the guard rail. The former Nexus leader had hoped to return in action in time for this month's European tour but a comeback during December allows that troublesome shoulder to return to full fitness. He will surely be looking to get to main event level in 2015.
