10 WWE Superstars That TNA Unsuccessfully Tried To Sign

3. John Morrison

Today, John Morrison is wowing audiences in Lucha Underground under the alias Johnny Mundo. But if TNA had gotten their way then it could have been a very different story indeed.

Wrestling Inc reports on an interview that Morrison carried out in which he mentions his discussions with TNA. He admitted that he has held talks with the company, however the fact that he lives in LA, and that TNA TV tapings go down in Florida, is quite the stumbling block.

Morrison did talk favourably about the company though, so much like the situation with Benjmain, a deal in the future may not be completely out of the question.

And for TNA, any such deal would likely prove to be a very good piece of business. Morrison had the potential to become a huge star in WWE—as he is now proving in Lucha Underground—so it seems perfectly natural that Dixie and company would want to cash-in on Morrison’s incredibly ability and his ever-improving star-power.
