10 WWE Superstars The Undertaker Should Have Faced At WrestleMania Instead
1. Daniel Bryan - WrestleMania 35
WrestleMania 35 was historic for being the first in 19 years not to feature The Undertaker, leaving many of us convinced that he had decided to retire. However, having now watched The Last Ride, we know this wasn't the case and that, physically, he was in fantastic shape.
With that in mind, it would have made sense to pair the aging Phenom with a man who could have gotten one more great showing out of him. Historically, 'Taker has had much better matches with smaller, more agile opponents - and in his Post-Streak years, that's exactly what he needed. One name that springs to mind is Daniel Bryan.
Yes, this would have meant that we wouldn't have gotten the great KofiMania angle, but it's still worth thinking about how great a feud between these two would have been. Bryan's verbal assaults of the WWE Universe for their 'fickle' support of legends would have expertly played into a program with The Undertaker and, following the Crown Jewel mess with fellow aged veterans Kane, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, this could have been the comeback 'Taker needed. And it would have been a much better use of 'The Deadman' in 2019 than the Goldberg trainwreck that came a few months later.
