9. Sheamus
Here's another unlikely one, but not one out of the realms of possibility.
Sheamus has never been hotter than he is right now, and considering he is about to enter his fourteenth year on the main roster, that's saying something. Never truly considered a main eventer in the eyes of the fans, the 'Celtic Warrior' has won the crowd over and then some.
There is very much a Kofi-Mania feel to Sheamus's sudden connection with the crowd, and whilst his current feud with WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has already delivered a five star match, WWE would be silly not to strike while the iron is hot.
With the crowd behind him and the Brawling Brutes by his side, Sheamus would be a more than credible foe for Reigns, and like Kofi-Mania, if played right, his ascent to the top could be undeniable.
Yes, he's been gifted more opportunities than Kofi ever was, but lest we forget, he is a close friend of The Game. Also, there is history between himself and Reigns, dating all the way back to Sheamus cashing in the Money in the Bank on Reigns at Survivor Series 2015, moments after the then 'Big Dog' had won the WWE Championship.
There is plenty of story to mine there, plus, you know for a fact that the match between the two would be an absolute brawl.
