10 WWE Superstars Who Didn't Lose Their Final Matches

4. AJ Lee

The face of women's wrestling thus far in the 21st century, AJ Lee rose to prominence in 2012, a rare female talent who was booked on the same footing of legitimate main event stars the likes of CM Punk, Kane and Daniel Bryan. Soon after the overly long crazed romantic gimmick wrapped up, the native of New Jersey focused her attention on becoming the best women's wrestler in the company and she did that in short order, capturing the Divas Championship from Kaitlyn and embarking on a historic reign that would last 295 days. Though she would drop the title to Paige on the first Raw after WrestleMania XXX, she would regain it on numerous occasions. One year after her epic title run came to an end, on the March 30 episode of WWE's flagship television show, Lee partnered with Naomi and Paige to defeat the Bella Twins and Natalya in a 6-Diva Tag Team match. No one could have predicted that it would be the final time fans would see her inside the squared circle. AJ retired from in-ring competition, amid a major dispute between WWE and husband CM Punk that turned ugly when the latter spoke extremely candidly on a Thanksgiving podcast with best friend Colt Cabana months earlier.
