10 WWE Superstars Who Hated Their Own Moves

1. Harley Race - Headbutt

When Harley Race decided to literally use his head to get himself over as a top star in the '70s and '80s, he had no idea that this move would eventually force him into an early retirement. However, it was those stars he inspired in the years that followed who really paid the price for his innovation.

'Dynamite Kid' Tom Billington and Chris Benoit both later used top rope flying variations of the move and both of their stories ended in tragedy. More recently Daniel Bryan had adopted the move before being forced to retire in 2016 due to multiple concussions.

Bryan made a remarkable recovery, but still uses the move today.

Race openly admitted that he regretted using the manoeuvre all those years ago and he no doubt hated how that decision contributed to the demise of his fellow performers in the future.

However, it must be said that in this day and age stars are more than aware of the consequences that can come from multiple shots to the head, so any use of the headbutt now has to be seen as irresponsible. Not because the likes of Daniel Bryan aren't more than capable of pulling off a safe one, but just in case they inspire others to execute the move badly and do irreparable damage to their bodies.
