10 WWE Superstars Who Have The Wrong Character Alignment

5. Asuka

Since debuting over a year ago at NXT TakeOver: Respect, Asuka has dominated the women’s division, defeating Bayley for the NXT women’s championship and remaining undefeated to this day. Since arriving, Asuka has always been more or less a face, even when facing off with the more beloved Bayley. But with NXT’s women’s division in a state of rebuilding, a heel champion taking on underdog face upstarts would do wonders for helping to establish new stars in the division.

Asuka’s extremely hard-hitting style has always made rooting for her a little strange, especially against more sympathetic opponents. Between her brutality and the language barrier in her promos, it can sometimes be hard for her to connect with the Full Sail crowd. Rather than working against the grain and relying on her brutal work style garnering her cheers, Asuka could be used as a heel to dominate the division.

With a match against the returning Mickie James on the horizon for TakeOver: Toronto, a savage beat down could start a heel run terrorizing the NXT women’s division, with someone rising up to finally defeat the unbeatable monster.
