10 WWE Superstars Who Will Be Snubbed At WrestleMania 33
3. Dean Ambrose
On paper, 2016 should have been the year Dean Ambrose solidified himself as a bonafide main event talent. Capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase and his first WWE Championship in the same night is precisely what the third man of The Shield needed to prove he was on par with his former comrades. Going into Orlando however, Ambrose has taken his familiar spot below his Shield-mates.
While Rollins and Reigns look set for big, main card storylines, Ambrose has been taken out of the WWE Title picture and saddled with the Intercontinental Championship. Despite it's long history, the IC Title has not had a truly significant place at WrestleMania in years. If Dean walks into the show with that belt, chances are he'll be holding down a spot-fest ladder match role, returning to his spot from WM31.
Considering Ambrose had the best year of his career and proved to be the company's ironman, he is absolutely deserving of a big-time program. That simply is not the reality in this part-timer-heavy 'Mania era in which we live.
