10 WWE Superstars Who Won By Losing

3. Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania VI)

Back in 1990, Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior epitomized the term "main event", with anticipation for WrestleMania VI's Ultimate Challenge at the SkyDome in Toronto reaching a fever pitch. Despite their in-ring limitations, the result was one of the greatest matches of both superstars' careers.

The booking was balanced; neither man could sustain an edge. The pendulum swung back and forth several times throughout the 23-minute affair. Like the hype and promotion surrounding the match, the conclusion was just as epic when Hogan kicked out of Warrior's finish and went for his patented leg drop... only to miss and get pinned.

After graciously passing the torch to Warrior, Hogan rode the long aisle back to the locker room with a sad, forlorn look on his face, stealing sympathy back from the Toronto crowd. It was an act Hogan duplicated some 12 years later after losing to The Rock at WrestleMania X8 - again at the SkyDome - in Hogan's first WrestleMania match in nine years.

At both Toronto WrestleManias, Hulk was the one that had his shoulders pinned to the mat - but left as the bigger star.
