10 WWE Superstars Who Would Benefit From A Raw Money In The Bank Match

6. Finn Bálor

On 21 August 2016, Finn Bálor defeated Seth Rollins to become the very first WWE Universal Champion. On 22 August, he relinquished the title due to an injury he suffered in the match where he won it. He had to undergo surgery on his shoulder and he was out of action until after WrestleMania.

Still, in a promotion where rematch clauses are such an important storyline conceit, it's important to note that Bálor still hasn't gotten his one-on-one bout for the Universal Title. He was forced to compete in a five-way match at Extreme Rules to earn a title shot, but Samoa Joe ended up leaving the bout victorious.

Even if Bálor were to win a hypothetical Money in the Bank briefcase, it wouldn't change the fact that he should get a straight title shot at some point. What the MITB briefcase would do, however, is keep him in permanent title contention, allowing him to gain back the momentum his injury cost him.
