10 WWE Superstars Whose Music Was Cooler Than They Are

7. Doink The Clown

The opening bars of 'Entrance of the Gladiators' said we were in a circus, ready to have some fun. The terrifying synthesiser dirge that followed told us this circus had maggots in the popcorn and a skinless corpse as a ringmaster. Doink the Clown's heel theme turned an already unsettling spectacle - a wrestling clown - into a full-on creepshow with the advent of a wrestler who looked a little too much like John Wayne Gacy.

Doink was never going to be cool. The very concept of a wrestling clown occupied a place on the opposite side of the Earth to coolness. Doink was impossible to take seriously as a heroic babyface or a genuine heel threat. But his music suited the gimmick perfectly, and if nothing else, it was certainly responsible for making plenty of children cry.
