10 WWE Superstars You Didn't Know Had World Title Matches
8. Eric Bischoff (vs. John Cena) - Raw 2005
What a great idea to announce yourself to a new television network. Or one you are returning to in WWE's case here. Everyone wants to see your champion and number one guy take on a non-wrestler. Eric Bischoff found himself in a championship match after declaring war on John Cena. The leader of the Cenation refused to join the former WCW supremo's crusade against the impending revival of ECW. With Kurt Angle in his corner, Bischoff actually got some offence in against the champ but was ultimately defeated with ease, despite the Olympic gold medalist interfering numerous times. Cena had only recently been drafted to Raw so during his final few weeks on SmackDown, the former Raw GM took it upon himself to insult the current United States Champion and most of his fellow SmackDown competitors. Hence the Teddy Long segment at the end of the match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvit7ZkptPg
