10 WWE Survivor Series Matches That Don’t Get Enough Credit

8. Chyna Vs. Chris Jericho (1999)

Falling during the early months of Chris Jericho's WWF/WWE career, this match opposite Chyna from the 1999 Survivor Series pay-per-view landed Y2J in some trouble. Incensed by Jericho's rough treatment of the woman, Vince McMahon lectured the Canadian for being too stiff.

That hard-hitting ring work isn't really noticeable when viewing the match on television. The most notable aspect of the encounter is the fact that Chyna hit a Pedigree from the top rope to pick up the win and retain her WWF Intercontinental Title. This would lead to further matches between the pair, and even a reign as co-holders of the championship.

Despite her improvement inside the ring, Chyna was never the top performer some may lead you to believe. She needed someone more skilful to guide her through matches, and that task fell to Jericho at Survivor Series.

Making the best of the situation, Jericho worked hard to bring Chyna up to his level. In the end, he succeeded, and this match is much better than many might expect. Just like others on this list, it's one that has been largely forgotten.
