10 WWE Survivor Series Matches That Don’t Get Enough Credit

Earlier in 2003, Vince McMahon worked an under-rated Street Fight with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XIX. That same year, McMahon was at it again, this time brawling with The Undertaker in a Buried Alive bout at Survivor Series. Once more, Vince showed that he was excellent foil for some of WWE's biggest stars.

It's somewhat surprising that WWE have only presented a handful of Buried Alive matches, especially considering the drama the match is capable of. At Survivor Series 2003, McMahon and Undertaker went out second-from-last, working their encounter right before Goldberg clashed with Triple H in the main event.

Only going around 12 minutes, the pair used every shortcut they could to flesh out the match. That's not a criticism; Undertaker's shovel strike to McMahon looked satisfying and the WWE boss bled heavily during the carnage.

Eventually, Kane would be the one to help Vince win. This was the end of 'Taker's 'American Bad Ass' persona, instantly making it historic. He'd be back as 'The Deadman' come WrestleMania XX for a match opposite Kane.

The last Buried Alive match for almost seven years, McMahon vs. Undertaker is unfairly glossed over.
