When the Rougeau Brothers made their WWE debut in 1986, the team were initially portrayed as bland babyfaces. Vince however saw great comedic potential in the two playing cowardly heels. The Rougeaus were renamed The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers and were teamed with ‘The Mouth of the South’ Jimmy Hart.

The pair would famously have a real backstage scrap with Tom ‘Dynamite Kid’ Billington of The British Bulldogs. Following a prank gone wrong, Billington blindsided Jacques Rougeau punching him repeatedly. Tired of Billington’s bully boy tactics Jacques would fight back.

The future ‘Mountie’ would bide his time, eventually smashing his rival's mouth with a roll of quarters. Billington lost four teeth in the altercation and swore revenge. McMahon, no doubt impressed by Jacques' guts ensured that no further retaliation took place.

The Bulldogs would leave for Japan shortly thereafter. The Rougeau Brothers would be employed by WWE in several capacities for years to come. The Mountie always gets his man.
