10 WWE Tag Teams Where Both Members Were The Marty Jannetty
5. Deuce N' Domino
Sometimes, nostalgia can have a firm place in wrestling. This gimmick was goofy but had legs thanks to the retro 60s vibes and unique presentation. With the management of the charming Cherry, the pair found some success, earning a title run. But, like most nostalgic fads, their time came and went.
After they split in 2008, the pair were placed on separate brands, with Domino becoming an enhancement talent, constantly looking up at the lights at the hands of more prominent stars. After his final losing effort for the company against The Big Show, he was released. It seemed that Domino was the prime of his career, as his only other notable run was as part of the S.C.U.M stable in ROH.
However, repacked as Sim Snuka, Deuce was given a chance to prove himself and was kept around by WWE. This could have set him up for success. Still, his failed attempts to get into the Legacy stable and botch when posing as a cameraman in the iconic Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 25 match proved that a family name doesn't guarantee success.
At least they've got a thoroughly catchy theme song to look back on with pride.
