10 WWE Tag Teams Where Both Members Were The Marty Jannetty
4. Tekno Team 2000
With a name like that, you know this team was never going to make it far. Erik Watts and Chad Fortune's silly gimmick was instantly dated and didn't do any favours for either performer, despite a solid start that saw them rack up some big wins. Eventually, after a year-long hiatus in which they were sent to hone their skills, they returned to multiple losses and a quick release.
After this sudden and surprising departure, Erik Watts (son of Bill Watts) bounced around in multiple promotions before settling into a somewhat lengthy skit in TNA. Here he played up to the legacy of his father and worked a stable alongside Brian Lawler and David Flair. Eventually, this ended too, and he now works as an authority figure for the small promotion Great Championship Wrestling.
Then there's Chad Fortune, whose career went in an entirely unexpected but exciting direction. Whilst under contract with WCW, he was sent to represent an NWO monster truck for the United States Hot Rod Association's Monster Jam. Soon he began driving the giant machines (putting Big Show and Hulk to shame) and shifted his attention to becoming a full-time driver. He found decent success in this new venture before retiring in 2019.
