10 WWE Things That Must Happen In The Second Half Of 2015
3. The Authority Must Meet Its Demise
Since SummerSlam 2013, The Authority has ruled WWE with an iron fist and has made life miserable for every Superstar who has dared to question their, well, authority. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon play their roles exceptionally well, but the fact of the matter is that heel authority figures aren't necessary in 2015. They've been done to death since the Attitude Era and do more to take away from the product than add to it. Fans were teased with an "Authority-free WWE" last fall when the power hungry couple lost their jobs in a 5-on-5 elimination tag team match at Survivor Series. Along with the debut of Sting, it was a monumental moment, but it was only six weeks before they were brought back to programming, rendering the conclusion of the event completely pointless. We've seen dissension in the ranks countless times over the years, but it always ends in them making up and getting back on the same page. There will come a time when The Authority is officially done away with, and that time will come in the next six months. Seth Rollins is ready to break off on his own and has a match with Triple H ready for him for when he splits from the faction. The days of Authority members opening Raw every week with 20 minute monologues must end.
