10 WWE WrestleMania 36 Card Predictions After Royal Rumble 2020

1. Universal Title: Bray Wyatt (c) Vs. Roman Reigns

The Fiend Roman Reigns
WWE

A match that has looked likely from the moment Roman Reigns was installed as the bookmakers' favourite to win the 2020 Royal Rumble. This obviously didn't come to pass, with WWE reportedly switching their plans as their WrestleMania card came into focus, though it's still a safe bet.

It'll be extremely interesting to see how this one pans out. WWE has played it smart with Roman so far, keeping him out of the Universal Championship picture to prevent backlash and maintain his popularity post-return. If he does face Bray Wyatt, the key argument will be that he has served his time, is getting genuine babyface reactions, and is due another shot in this spotlight.

That being said, Reigns' Royal Rumble crowd responses were telling. While fans cheered him against King Corbin, Roman was booed (lightly) in the main event, suggesting that the audience is fine with him as an upper-midcard but less enthused by the prospect of a main event return.

We'll see how this progresses over the coming weeks and months, but at least 'The Fiend's' match with Daniel Bryan was a triumph. WWE's biggest merch-shifter is an attraction. Let's just hope he's jeered in the Reigns feud.
