10 WWE WrestleMania 36 Card Predictions After Royal Rumble 2020

3. Edge Vs. Randy Orton

Edge Randy Orton

That Randy Orton brutally destroyed Edge on the post-Rumble Raw means this is definitely happening, and it makes all the sense in the world.

The subjective complain that 'The Viper' isn't the most eye-catching or dazzling in-ring performer isn't important here. His former Rated RKO partner has just returned from an absence of close to nine years, having previously been told that his neck was so badly damaged that he risked paralysis if he ever competed again. When King Corbin hit Edge with a Deep Six in the Rumble, 'The Rated-R Superstar' had a hand behind his neck to cushion the impact. Yes, he has been medically cleared, but he still needs to be careful - and there isn't a more careful pair of hands than Orton.

Adored by his peers, Randy won't take any unnecessary risks with Edge. Their storyline history helps immensely, too. Almost everything Edge did in his comeback Rumble involved some kind of interaction with his former partner. They've got years of old interactions and chemistry to play on when telling this story, so it works from a narrative POV too. Really, this is an open lay-up.
