10 WWE Wrestlers Already Dreaming Of AEW

4. Charlotte Flair

This one seems far-fetched, on the surface.

Charlotte Flair is a big, constant WWE project. They adore her. They hand her championships with a parodic frequency. They give her championships days after she loses championships because they can't bear the thought of seeing her without one. The recipient of the most oppressive, unwavering push ever, WWE has sent an on-the-nose message for well over half a decade at this point: Charlotte Flair is a big star.

But certain tidbits hint at one of the more shocking jumps in an industry that, thrillingly, is defined by them once more.

Every wrestler is asked in every interview about working for the other promotion. And so, when Charlotte was asked by Renee Pacquette who she'd like to face, and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas chanted "DMD!", she couldn't not acknowledge it. Andrade meanwhile has revealed that he'd "love" to work alongside his partner in AEW. These teases were projected onto her. The difference is simple and crucial.

But Charlotte herself has subtly expressed her dissatisfaction with the creative process in 2021. "I can often appear with a very cold temper on TV," she told TV Insider in March. Was this a diplomatic way of saying "The scripting makes people hate me"?

Is the scripting so bad that it has unsettled the person it functions to put over more than most?
