1. The Nexus

The Nexus were something new, something fresh, and something innovative, and as a result, they were the hottest act in all of WWE in 2010. A group consisting of the rookies from the inaugural season of NXT, they ran rampant on the Raw roster in their quest for change and rebelling against the system. Throughout the summer, victims of their heinous attacks included Bret Hart, Ricky Steamboat, and even the WWE Chairman himself, Vince McMahon.

Their main adversary, however, was John Cena, who they cost the WWE Championship on several occasions. Naturally, this led to Cena recruiting his own team of WWE representatives to help him take out all of Nexus at SummerSlam in a multi-man matchup.

It said something about WWE's faith in Nexus for them to have the young up-and-comers headline one of their biggest pay-per-views of the year, giving fans hope that they would go over. Being the most talked about angle in quite some time, it was asinine to kill it off so early with a win for Cena and his band of misfits, but that didn't stop WWE from giving the victory to the babyfaces.

Chris Jericho and Edge have said publicly in the past that their lobbied for a Nexus win that night to no avail, leaving fans to wonder what would have been had they come out on top.
