10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2018

7. Adam Cole

While it could be argued that Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era have already broken out in NXT, the trio's leader is yet to be pushed as the brand's key player (like many had predicted prior to his TakeOver: Brooklyn III). 'The Panama City Playboy' was WarGames' biggest star, and is one of his brand's key villains, but he has already been pinned in singles competition, suggesting he may have to wait for the rocket push to materialise.

Regardless, Cole was born to be a major WWE star. He has everything from the look and charisma to the safety-first in-ring style and a catchy, crowd-popping catchphrase. Cole might not be the most dazzling athlete in the world, but he's everything the company look for in a headliner, and he's going to soar in 2018.

Given that the likes of NXT Champion Andrade Almas, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano (and presumably Tommaso Ciampa) and Lars Sullivan look set to occupy the bulk of the headlining slots for the foreseeable future, a hot-shotted main roster call-up isn't out of the question. Whatever the case, expect Cole to have an incredible impact this coming year: no other 2017 signing is as well-built for long-term WWE success.
