10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2019

7. Lars Sullivan

This one’s obvious.

WWE went all in on the Lars Sullivan video packages. Michael Cole even called him the hottest free agent in wrestling history. That’s kind of ridiculous, but it does suggest that big things are in the pipeline for Lars, who, given that he looks like he subsists on a diet of potatoes and PVA glue, has the monster aesthetic nailed.

The so-called ‘Freak’ had an interesting 2018. He started the year as an awesome midcard novelty act, but cooled off badly after failing to win Aleister Black’s NXT Championship. Perhaps that bout’s infamous Black Mass botch had something to do with it. Still, not even a bunch of people on the internet unearthing some rather problematic posts from the man’s past - including one in which he thanked Stephanie McMahon for a ‘very sexy fap vid’ - can’t derail his main roster prospects.

As a monster and indeed a big sweaty man - the kind that Vince McMahon loves - expect Sullivan to make a colossal impact in 2019. He’s already very, very good in the ring, and a surprisingly great talker as well. Expecting him to become the next Braun Strowman is far-fetched, but he will be doing big things on your small screens soon.
