10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2019

6. EC3

He might not be the most exciting wrestler in the world, but EC3 is a McMahon’s wet dream. His body looks like it was chiselled from Mt. Olympus, he can talk, plays his character well, and looks great in a suit… so yeah, he’s definitely getting a major push somewhere down the line.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson recently reported that WWE actually considered calling him up around SummerSlam time, though EC3 suffered a concussion, scuppering those plans. This tells us that they definitely plan on doing something with him in the near future. Whether he has the technical chops to survive in today’s workrate-centric environment is another matter entirely, of course, but WWE will give him every opportunity under the sun.

Bobby Roode’s main roster run is a grim parallel. EC3, like his fellow former TNA Champion, was recently slotted into an ill-fitting babyface role, compromising his ‘One-Percenter’ gimmick the same it has Roode’s ‘Glorious’ shtick. That should be addressed upon his call-up. The man’s a villain, not a hero, and it’s important that he’s presented that way if he’s going to get over on the main roster.
