10 WWE Wrestlers Randy Orton Has Never Faced One-On-One

6. Aleister Black

Similar to Andrade, Aleister Black was another highly touted former NXT Champion called up to the main roster who never really got unstuck and never got a shot at Randy Orton during his two years with WWE.

Black unfortunately spent a great deal of his time sitting in a dark room on SmackDown begging people to pick a fight with him rather than actually wrestling people. And it’s really a tragedy. Aleister was really over at certain points and had a unique aura about him that could have translated really well in a match against someone like Orton. Both men have similarities in appearance (lanky, athletic guys with tattoos and black trunks) and have dark personae, but this was never explored.

Even though Orton and Black were on the same brand much of the time Aleister was with WWE, we never got Randy answering the challenge to fight him, even as a one-off, before Black’s release in June 2021. Call it another missed opportunity.
