1. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura will be linked with AEW until he decides to officially announce he's hanging up his boots. The rumours will continue until that retirement looms, and that's just the way it is. A certain section of the wrestling fanbase would love to see Shin work a few shots for Tony Khan and end his career with a few jaunts to Japan on the side.

AEW's relationship with New Japan would make that easy.

Nakamura hasn't popped up on SmackDown much at all since moving from Raw > Smackers in the 2024 Draft. Triple H is either biding his time on that, or he doesn't actually have much going on creatively for Shinsuke. Either way, one thing's obvious: Naka isn't a priority in 2024. He could become one and breathe new life into his career by going All Elite.

At 44, Shin must be content with everything he's achieved in pro wrestling. His WWE run could've been better, but it hasn't been a disaster by any means. Even so, seeing him jump to AEW for a few big matches and stories (including those excursions to NJPW) would rock.
