10 WWE Wrestlers Vince McMahon Didn’t Know How To Book
9. Bobby Lashley
The current version of Bobby Lashley is tremendous. Finally, two years after bringing him back, WWE has realised that perhaps the best way to present a hulking, hyper-athletic behemoth isn't as a rampant spouse shagger or smiley-jokey vanilla babyface, but to have him wreck dudes while an outstanding talker spits his lines for him. Piece of cake.
Coming off of an acclaimed Impact Wrestling run that saw Lashley transform into the imposing destroyer Vince McMahon desperately wanted him to be during his first WWE stint, Bobby's first few post-comeback months summoned memories of his old failings. A disastrous feud with Sami Zayn yielded one of 2018's worst segments, as three men in drag were brought to RAW as Lashley's sisters, and what looked like a systematic attempt at picking Bobby's threat level away began. An abysmal win/loss record undermined any hope the monster had of building credibility, despite occasional dalliances in and around the Universal Title scene.
Linking up with a new manager in Lio Rush brought promise, though WWE screwed around with one split tease too many before 'The Man of the Hour' was removed from television in 2019, leaving Lashley adrift once more. Then came the Rusev/Lana cuckolding angle and... no. Just no.
