10 WWE Wrestlers Vince McMahon Didn’t Know How To Book

8. EC3

Booking EC3 on WWE's main roster should have been the easiest thing in the world for Vince McMahon.

Miscast in the hyper-athletic NXT, EC3 was pinpointed as a surefire RAW hit upon transitioning in February 2019, where his relatively basic in-ring style wouldn't be as big a hindrance as it was on the promotion's most workrate-centric show. With his outstanding charisma, ability to project star power and play a character, jacked frame, and photogenic marketability, 'The One-Percenter' ticked most of the WWE Chairman's favourite boxes. Unfortunately, Vince dropped the ball as soon as it was handed to him.

McMahon presented EC3 in the one way guaranteed to minimise him: by having him not talk. The former Derrick Bateman was a literal mute for his first few main roster months and while rubbing shoulders with the soon-to-depart Dean Ambrose brought hope, this "feud" ended after just a few weeks. From there, EC3 slinked into the shadows, looking increasingly despondent with each new, fleeting appearance, all the way through to his April 2020 release.

EC3 left WWE with precisely zero memorable RAW matches, promos, or angles on his resume. A crime, and one he'll be looking to avenge following his Impact return.
