10 WWE Wrestlers Vince McMahon Loved At First Sight

6. The Big Show

There was an arrogance to Vince McMahon's attitude about Paul Wight when he first saw him f*cking about with Hulk Hogan in WCW. Earned to a degree, but an arrogance all the same.

By 1995, McMahon was a long way removed from his golden era of finding a monster to be fed to the juggernaut that was Hulkamania or promoting musclebound heroes against musclebound villains in a battle that would have fit better onto a 35-foot-wide cinema screen than his 20x20 canvas.

Nothing was drawing, not least big lugs. Aforementioned tower of charismatic power Diesel wasn't drawing. Ripped and chiseled challenger Sid wasn't drawing. F*cking Mabel Vs Yoko-f*cking-zuna on a f*cking pay-per-view definitely wasn't drawing. Heavyweights, super heavyweights; they were all just bigger lugs failing to sell tickets and failing just as hard as they had for years as McMahon took a leering look at Nitro and believed he'd surely know how to make better use of his future Big Show.

And he showed them alright! Just 20 years and 30+ turns later and he was a star!
